Gateway students invited for summer camp at HKU

The University of Hong Kong (HKU) - Asia's Number 1 University, has invited 10 Gateway students to join a "Summer Camp" to let students have a taste of what university life is like. Ten students who have just completed the AS examination along with two Counsellors of the Gateway Graduate School will join 100 other students from a very limited number of carefully selected schools across the world. As part of the HKU 100 Centennial celebrations, these students are partly funded by the University itself.

The summer camp is designed to give students, in particular those who are interested in Engineering, Arts or Humanities studies, exposure to diversity in knowledge to mould all-rounded individuals that are geared for the future. Participants are able to experience life on campus, make new friends with other students from many countries, challenge themselves with the academics and engage in new ways of living and learning.

During the programme, the faculties will showcase the best features, the cutting-edge facilities and developments of their area of expertise. Not only will the students get the chance to observe what these experts in each field do and how they solve problems, they will also gain hands-on experience during interactive activities such as workshops, laboratory sessions, participation in group projects and even reflect on what they have learned.

The carefully put-together program includes lots of fun filled group activities and sightseeing too.
